“Steve’s book, God is Your Roommate, is a fun, practical read, and would be a great “introduction” to life overview for your teens and young adults in or heading into college. Each chapter is short and bite-sized, so very easy to read, and includes a quick suggested application at the end. Steve also works well-known passages of Scripture into his sharing and lessons, which is invaluable for those who know the Bible (this helps them contextualize what they’ve learned over the years through youth group or Sunday School). For those who don’t know as much about the Bible, it is a great introduction to relevant teachings as a starting place of understanding what God has to say about seeking to follow and honor Him with our lives, our studies and our relationships. I could see this being a great easy-to-use resource for small group discussion as well, whether for grade 12 students in a youth group, college students in a college fellowship, or for parents to use as a college-prep devotional/discussion guide with their children. It is short enough to assign as homework, or to simply read together as a group, and then discuss homework application questions and pray for one another.”
